In 2018 and 2019, Bliss Studio Custom Metalwork led a series of summer workshops that taught individuals how to carve in custom sand molds, with a grand finale in mind: an Iron Pour event. For our “iron pour,” it involved over 4,000 pounds of hot molten iron, which were poured into individuals creations, allowing the community to witness their designs coming into fruition. We want to thank the unwavering dedication and of Monument, Colorado’s community members. Both years provided spectacular events that allowed us to bring a community together in a unique and memorable way! Finally, we could not have done these events without the generous donation of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak region (CoPPer), who awarded Jodie Bliss a Peak Arts Prize, which aided in the funding of these community events!
